Workshop: How to Publish an Interdisciplinary Book

In this one-hour workshop, Laura Portwood-Stacer will share her time-tested tips for pitching interdisciplinary books to scholarly publishers, based on a decade of working with scholarly authors. Whether you're writing your first book or building on past academic publishing experiences in hopes of taking more control over the process this time around, this workshop will give you new tools for a publishing a successful book.

The workshop will include hands-on exercises to help you craft your book pitch. There will be no group work and you will not be required to share your exercises with other participants. Live attendance is strongly encouraged to get the most value out of the exercises and Q&A.
This workshop is about publishing academic books with university presses and other scholarly publishers. If you're not writing a scholarly book or hoping to publish with a scholarly press, this probably isn't the best workshop for you.
